Pickerel Lake Cemetery Guidelines Adopted: May 2020
1) Board Members:
Daniel Kangas: Chairman/Sexton
Donna Kovala: Treasurer
Connie Kovala: Secretary
The care and use of the Pickerel Lake Cemetery shall be administered by the Broad Members, who have the authority and responsible for enforcing and amending these rules as required.
2) Cemetery Plots:
a) Grave sites may be purchased as follows:
*Section 100-199 Eight (8) grave sites per lot, lot measures 23 ft. x 23 ft.
*Section 200-299 Eight (8) grave sites per lot, lot measures 21 ft. x 23 ft.
*Section 300-399 Four (4) grave sites per lot, lot measures 11 ft. x 22 ft.
b) A single grave site may be used for one full burial and/or three cremation burials.
c) Price of grave sites is $100.00 for four (4) or one (1) grave site for $50.00 which include perpetual care

d) Burial lots may be transfer to another party or donated back to Pickerel Lake Cemetery.
e) Shrubs and trees are not to be planted. Existing trees and shrubs may be removed by the cemetery board if deemed in the best interest of the cemetery, such as infringing on lots or inconvenience of the care and maintenance of the cemetery.
f) Purchase of monuments and grave markers are the responsibility of the family including upkeep and maintenance, however the board has the right to maintain monuments if needed.
Note: The Cemetery strongly suggests all grave markers to be mounted flush with surrounding earth for ease of mowing.
g) Displaying flowers and decorations are allowed from mid-May thru mid-September. All flowers and decorations will be removed by cemetery personnel after September 15. The board reserves the right to remove any flowers or grave decorations that hinder the mowing of the grounds.
h) Burial vaults are not required and is left to discretion of the family.
Vaults do help minimize settling and later earth leveling.
3) The Pickerel Lake Cemetery Board has the right to:
a) Remove any flowers, shrubbery, trees to improve the appearance of the grounds.
b) Add or change the rules and regulations as necessary.
c) Hire personnel as needed to maintain the cemetery
d) Cemetery is not responsible for damage to flowers, vases or any personnel items at gravesite.
4) The Cemetery will be closed for winter burials between Dec 1 thru March 1 unless weather conditions allow access and burial. Final decision will be at the discretion of the cemetery board. Spring burials will be allowed after snow level and grounds allow access w/o damaging grounds.
5) Veterans are entitled to a Government Gravestone or Marker by completing VA Form 40-1330.

6) Contact Daniel Kangas (763) 913-9170 to locate grave site location before digging grave.
7) Annual meeting is held at the Cemetery Second Wednesday in May at 10:00 AM everyone is encouraged to attend.
